Mud Pump Pony Rod

The mud pump pony rod is an essential part of mud pumps, a vital link between the power and hydraulic ends. One end connects to the crosshead, while the other attaches to the piston rod via a clamp. The outer circumference of the rod is fitted with a packing box assembly. During reciprocating motion, the outer surface of the pony rod continuously interacts with the sealing components inside the packing box. To ensure superior wear resistance, the outer surface of the pony rod is hard chrome plated.
