The SMKST-MC Mud Cleaner is a combined solids control system widely used in oil and gas drilling rigs. It integrates 10” or 12” desander cyclones and 4” desilter cyclones mounted above a fine-mesh shale shaker. This equipment can function as the third and fourth stages of solids control, targeting solid particles from 15 to 74 microns that primary shakers miss. The hydrocyclones use centrifugal force to separate solids, and the underflow is further filtered by the lower shaker screen.

By removing medium-fine solids efficiently, SMKST-MC improves drilling mud quality, reduces wear on downstream equipment, and cuts mud losses and maintenance costs. The system features high-temperature resistant polyurethane cyclones, an anti-splash jacket on the desilters, box-type overflow for desanders to avoid siphon problems, and a maintenance pedal for quick access to cyclone nozzles. Built for high performance and reliability, it ensures greater drilling efficiency and lower operational risk in demanding onshore fields.
